Brief Bio

In 2008 I encountered some health issues and decided to change my diet. While successful, I soon realized I needed to do more to meet my goals. I looked to yoga as a means of enhancing my physical health and soon discovered it had a broader impact on my overall health. Over the years I’ve explored many styles of yoga. One of which, Alignment-Based Yoga, has been especially beneficial to my family and my clients. Alignment-Based Yoga focuses on the proper form of each yoga pose maximizing the benefits of the practice.

Personal Mission Statement

I am a strong proponent of Newton’s first law of motion – “An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion.” Moving through a full range of motion every day keeps your muscles strong and your tendons, ligaments and joints flexible. As we get older maintaining muscle strength and increasing flexibility are vital to our long-term health and the practice of yoga, whether low impact or high impact, either can help us attain these. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for my clients to explore the practice of yoga to improve their body and clear their mind. Every single body is different so everyone’s journey will be different. It is not a CONTEST it is LIFE. We are all teachers and we are all students.
