Brief Bio

Growing up, I bounced around many different activities: dance, soccer, softball, swimming, cross country. I love to be moving, indoors or out, constantly on the go, always seeking the next adventure, personally and professionally. Four years ago I stepped into my first hot yoga class and my life was changed.

A fitness junkie, traditional exercise (running, biking, spin, aerobics) simply was not cutting it anymore, but I could not put my finger on what was missing. Plagued with anxiety and stress, it was suggested that I check out yoga. The misconception that yoga was entirely based on stretching, moving at a slow pace, and "om" was quickly shattered. Upon leaving my first class I was intrigued, fascinated, hooked. Within weeks I felt huge relief from the anxiety, saw changes in my muscle tone and body shape, and felt as if I had experienced a true awakening. In February 2016 I entered an intensive yoga teacher training program in Auburn, AL to further explore the history of yoga and learn how to share this practice and philosophy with others. Yoga became my medicine. I hope to use my knowledge and passion to show how yoga can be used for exercise, healing, and empowerment. 


Personal Mission Statement

As a personal yoga trainer, I would like to work with each client to help them develop a sense of pride in their own strength--show each person what their body is truly capable of! Yoga allows one to challenge themselves in ways that no other sport can--overcoming mental and physical obstacles through linking breath with posture. The body can learn to do some amazing things, and yoga can be used in the studio during a practice or throughout the daily comings and goings of life. I want to show each client that yoga will change your life and it will absolutely show inwardly and out.
