There are two types of people - people who hate breakfast, and people who love it. Some people can't stomach the idea of food first thing in the morning, and that's okay! But, as most of us already know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it's better to eat *something* when you first wake up in the morning.
Here's what to eat if you really don't like breakfast:
1. A piece of fruit
A piece of fruit is definitely better than nothing, and this grab-and-go option is doable even for the busiest folks.
2. Bulletproof coffee
Putting butter in your coffee might sound weird, but if you think about it, butter is just over-whipped cream. Even the pickiest morning eaters say that bulletproof coffee has helped them become more focused and alert in the morning.
3. A Starbucks copycat bistro box
Try making your own bistro protein box with a hardboiled egg, a few slices of cheese, nuts, and fruit. You can easily make these in advance, and grab them when you're getting ready in the morning. They're a great little a.m. snack that will keep you full, but not feeling icky.
4. A smoothie or protein shake
Really can't deal with solid food in the morning? Throw some frozen fruit, leafy greens, almond milk, and your favorite protein powder in a blender and puree.
Meal prep tip: Pre-slice your fruit and throw them into Ziploc freezer baggies so you can grab them as needed.
5. Something savory
Who says breakfast has to be fruity oatmeal or bacon and eggs? Eat chicken, rice and vegetables or a turkey burger. There are no rules - eat what works for you and your body!
