I grew up in Florida, been in Alabama since 2012, and moved to Birmingham in 2014. I've fallen in love with the Ham and love all the outdoor activities the city has to offer. I took my first weight lifting class in high school and experienced many modes of fitness since. My foundation is from my B.S in Health Education from the University of Florida. Over the years, I have explored yoga, jiu jitsu, judo, kettlebells, trail running, body-weight, meditation (mind exercise), eastern philosophy, and strength training. I believe in balance and health/fitness is so much more than just moving around. It is about quality of life, flexibility, clarity of mind, food, environment, motivation, and following whatever your inner truth may be. I love sharing the wealth of knowledge I have accumulated over the years and helping people reach their fitness goals!
Personal Mission Statement
Knowing that we are all on different times of our journey, I meet my clients at their current fitness level. I tailor my workouts to meet the client's specific needs with an overall goal of balancing body, mind, and spirit. I don't believe in beating up the body to achieve weight loss or strength, but believe in prescribed exercises that give the client that most bang for their time. Everyone has their own story and I want to be a positive part of that tale. “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime.” Ultimately, I want my clients to be self-reliant and confident in their own abilities.
