My name is Tasmin Jones. I was born in D.C. but have always considered myself as “from the south.” My parents moved our family to Birmingham when I was 3 years old. I’ve lived here my whole life. As a cheerleader at Oak Mountain High School, I fell in love with my fitness routine. From there, that joy bloomed into a passion for health, exercise and the science of the human body. I graduated from the Auburn University with a kinesiology degree. While there, I received my Group Fitness certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. I taught weekly Zumba, Stability ball, Bosu, and Bounce fitness classes at Auburn’s Student Recreation Center. After college, I began working at a physical therapy clinic so I could focus on building the skills necessary to help others help themselves. With those motivations, I received my National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Training certification in 2018. These days, when I’m not working out, I enjoy adventures, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and runs with my dog, Lexi.
Personal Mission Statement
I strive to encourage others to be better than who they were yesterday. Only compare yourself to yourself and always remember to activate to the core.
