"Working out at home with HomeFit has been the key for me. What a
My trainer, Daniel, and HomeFit have been such a blessing in my life and in my family's life. I have just wrapped up my first three months of exercising with a HomeFit trainer and I could not be more ecstatic! I'm a typical mid-30s mom: I work full time, I have a 3-year-old, and I have to keep up a home…finding balance in this life is tough. I had typical "weight-creep" over the last few years and I became fed up with feeling yuck about my lack of exercise and my body.
After six weeks of working out with Daniel, my clothes fit again! All those clothes that I kept because I knew I'd get "back there one day"…accomplished! Six weeks! After week 7, I even pulled out my skinny jeans and BOOM, I wore them out!!! Don't get me wrong, I still had some stomach pooch I wanted to annihilate, but this body was already significantly different.
Eight weeks in, I ran my first 5K…RAN IT…the whole distance!
I have been eating well also and I easily lost a few pounds the first couple weeks. But here's the kicker: the scale stopped moving.
Fast forward to now, I'm 12 weeks in and the scale still doesn't move but I feel amazing and I think I'm looking fantastic, too. I don't care that the scale isn't moving anymore. My weight is in a healthy place and I know it isn't moving because I'm building so much muscle! My belly pooch is now MINOR. That's right…it's going away, too!!
I look forward to exercising…haha…who ever thought I would say that?! My stress level is way down, my sleep is better at night and I feel like one fit momma! My biggest personal obstacle has been understanding why the scale isn't moving and accepting that I may not ever weigh 120 pounds again (like I did in my 20s). That has been a three month process as well! I can tell you that what I see in the mirror makes that all okay! That's all the proof I need now.
Working out at home with HomeFit has been the key for me. What a life-changer!!!

"I’m amazed with what a thorough and targeted work out I can get with such minimal equipment."
I am so impressed with Rachel. She demonstrates the perfect balance between challenging me and encouraging me. I’m convinced that I’m working with one of the best in the business.
HomeFit trainers must really understand the science of the body. I’m amazed with what a thorough and targeted work out I can get with such minimal equipment.

"I am 67 and have had Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, plus bariatric surgery..."
I started with HomeFit a little over a year ago. I am 67 and have had Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, plus bariatric surgery. I had a lot to overcome and it isn’t easy to tone up muscles after 60. I do a lot of traveling and I was also interested in building up my core strength. Within 4 months, I was traveling all over the world for weeks at a time! I even climbed the stairs at Blarney Castle and kissed the stone! My diligent and informed trainer is able to target the workout to my particular needs. I was so glad to see my waddles replaced with firmness and delicate muscles!! I am now a size 10 and firm and fit. Everyone needs to do this for themselves.

"Often my baby joined us during work outs and she was able to help manage him..."
I have loved the convenience of having Rachael come to my home. She has always been prepared and flexible as needed. Often my baby joined us during work outs and she was able to help manage him in order to maximize my work out time, quite a task with a 1-year old around.

"My trainer has been able to detect problems with my posture and physiological responses to stress... I am beginning to improve..."
I have been working out with personal trainers since 1998. I can certainly say that having Michael Dubois as my trainer for almost two years have been an amazing and beneficial experience. He brings a holistic approach to training that includes a combination of aerobic and anaerobic workouts, integrated with stretching and massaging as well as recovery techniques to avoid injury and discomfort. Michael is an observer, who can detect balance inefficiencies during training sessions, catching overcompensating movements and correcting them to guarantee the best form and the best outcome from your exercise routine. He has been able to detect problems with my posture, and physiological responses to stress that, through awareness and stretching techniques, I have beginning to improve.
I can honestly say that Michael is certainly one of the top best trainers (if not the best) I have had from a series of trainers during the past 15 years. His commitment to his training and his non-threatening personality provide an encouraging and positive environment to engage in an exercise protocol that would be effective, and individually catered. He is able to develop trust with his clients, and in my personal case, the trust was such that he successfully engaged members of my family who have never worked out before into exercising, with him serving as their trainer as well. There are no doubts that Michael is a gem as a trainer, and a gift as a human being.

"Favorite trainer trait is his love of trying to get me moving outdoors...I saw a difference in my energy level, my strength and balance, and my weight..."
Trey is knowledgeable in all areas fitness, from Yoga to endurance. His understanding about ways to get in shape without injury is comprehensive. But a good trainer must be more than aware of which muscle groups to engage. He sought my opinion regarding my goals, brought different work outs to the sessions so that we could see together which was the best fit, and episodically asked about how I felt about my progress and if I thought there was anything he could be doing differently. My favorite trainer trait, however, is his love of trying to get me moving outdoors. I live in a beautiful area, with trails nearby. If the weather allowed, we took our sessions outside, which was both invigorating and relaxing. It also taught me how to use my environment on my own. After several weeks, I saw a difference in my energy level, my strength and balance, and, of course, my weight. Our sessions were flexible and therefore always fun (as much fun as working resistant muscles) could be. To those clients that follow me, best of luck. Enjoy the process. You will do well with Trey.

"Like most people I didn’t think I could afford a personal trainer..."
I’ve struggled with my weight since I was a kid. I’ve gone on one diet after the other and in the end I was only left with a feeling that no matter what I did I was always going to be on the losing end of the battle of the bulge. The only bright point was thanks to the low carb craze that gave me great results but didn’t last. I lost 120 lbs only to put it back on again because the diet couldn’t be maintained without health problems.
Like most people I didn’t think I could afford a personal trainer and so I never bothered to hire one. When I met Trey through a friend it seemed like a sign and I started getting myself back on track. He took the time to explain why the exercises he was giving me were important. He also never made me feel that the progress I was making was anything other than the right rate for me. He was encouraging and supportive and more than anything that helped me get to a place of health I hadn’t been in a long time! If you are looking for a trainer, whether it is for a long term, major weight loss, or just to shed those unwanted pounds I would pick Trey Tate. You couldn’t find someone more willing to help you reach your goals!
Rev. Kyler Pettry (L.M.T)
"Trey helped me regain my physical strength, but more importantly, he empowered me with the confidence that I could be successful at regularly exercising on my own again."
As a past client of Trey Tate, I am pleased to recommend his personal training services. Trey possesses a skill set and an attitude which, together, makes him a fantastic trainer for fitness novices and experienced exercisers, alike. In addition to being courteous, professional, and genuinely affable, Trey is knowledgeable, encouraging, and creative in his efforts to help clients meet their fitness goals. Moreover, he is always safety-minded, approaching each session with the client’s unique needs – be they physical or psychological in nature – at the forefront of his attention.
I hired Trey with the goal in mind of cultivating a fitness routine I could do at home. I had been a regular “gym rat” in my college years; but after a too-long hiatus from my exercise regimen, and years of working a desk job, I had gone woefully soft! I was ready for a return to fitness, but I knew I needed help. Trey provided me with routines that were tailored to my ability. Each session was challenging and full of variety. Plus, in response to my issues with knee pain, Trey was watchful of my form and really listened to my feedback, ensuring that my workouts were not only effective, but safe.
I was further impressed by how adaptable Trey is. Whether by modifying the exercises to accommodate my knee pain, or by incorporating moves from my favorite fitness disciplines (boxing and yoga), Trey crafted sessions that were both rewarding and effective. When weather permitted, he’d move the session outside for a welcome change of pace. He has a real knack for keeping clients engaged and committed. Further, he is proof positive that a personal trainer need not be a drill sergeant. Trey knows his clients don’t need to be commanded into getting results; they need to be inspired and supported. I’ve never heard him voice that philosophy, but he doesn’t need to because, honestly, he exemplifies it.
Trey helped me accomplish my goal of creating a new, sustainable exercise habit in my life. His training services were the perfect springboard into a fitter lifestyle. Trey helped me regain my physical strength, but more importantly, he empowered me with the confidence that I could be successful at regularly exercising on my own again. Trey introduced me to new tools and ideas that I continue to use in my own home fitness routine today. I would recommend him as a trainer to anyone at any fitness level, anytime!
"I’ve had trainers before, but HomeFit Consulting is SO much more! My daughter and I are are both living much healthier lives."
My 16-year-old daughter and I have been working with HomeFit Consulting for four months now, and we have already experienced tremendous benefits with Lynda Ratliff as our trainer. My daughter and I approach training very differently, so Lynda tailors the exercises to our abilities, preferences, fitness goals, and even our moods when necessary. She has an incredible talent for bringing out our best during our respective workouts.
More than just a trainer, Lynda is a true partner. She demonstrates her interest in our total health and well-being by taking the time to understand our fitness goals as well as any obstacles, and then she ensures that her actions support achieving those goals. Her holistic approach includes understanding how our nutrition and stress-level may be impacting our fitness. Moreover, the support doesn’t end when the on-site workout ends. Lynda develops customized and creative workouts as “homework” and provides motivation and coaching throughout the week.
I’ve had trainers before, but HomeFit Consulting is SO much more! My daughter and I are are both living much healthier lives. Almost daily we comment about how much happier we are because of the positive impact Lynda has had on us.
This has already been such a transformative experience, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Lynda and HomeFit!

"After a series of failed attempts to make traditional gym memberships work...
I finally found HomeFit..."
After a series of failed attempts to make traditional gym memberships and group fitness classes work with my schedule, I finally found HomeFit. Cody did an amazing job tailoring a program to fit my fitness goals, my schedule and to work around nagging knee injuries. And each session is a little bit different based on my progress and our mood that day! It is great to know that my body’s evolution is a result of our shared collaboration and my hard work.

"I injured my shoulder a few years ago...now the pain it is pretty much gone..."
I injured my shoulder a few years ago. When I went to the doctor it was misdiagnosed. It was actually a massive tear in the rotator cuff. By the time it was diagnosed correctly, too much scarring had occurred for it to be repaired. My shoulder ached most of the time, and I could hear the head of my humerus rubbing against my shoulder blade. The only surgical option that was given to me was a shoulder replacement.
I heard that Cody was interested in rehabilitation exercise. I contacted him and started training. I began to notice results almost right away. The pain began to get better. Now it is pretty much gone. It only comes back if I miss too many workouts. The grinding noise is gone, and I am building back some strength.
I recommend Cody to anyone who is trying to recover from an injury. He kept me from doing things that would have made things worse, and showed what things would build up the muscles around the injured area. When I told the doctor who correctly diagnosed my shoulder, he said that was exactly what I needed to do to avoid surgery and stay active.

"I realized time was running out...my wedding was fast approaching...'
I didn’t know what to expect hiring a personal trainer. In the months leading up to my decision to take that leap, multiple scenarios went through my head, but one was dominant: I would not be able to do the exercises given to me and I would feel embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I was on a pretty steady exercise routine already, but was I doing the correct types of exercise to be able to show any evidence of a good fitness level? Then I realized time was running out: my wedding was fast approaching and I was still unhappy with the way I looked in my wedding gown. I had to do something.
My initial sessions with HomeFit put me at ease. Cody made me feel very comfortable about the process, and every fear I had about being judged went away with his fantastic attitude and genuine eagerness to help reshape my body and enhance my physical ability. He’s very knowledgeable and relatable and meeting with him twice a week became the high points of my week. I was learning a lot and feeling better about myself with each session. And thankfully, he was very readily accessible to me if I had questions or concerns on the days that we did not meet.
Additionally, my consultation with Evelyn taught me a lot about the importance of nutrition and consistent eating habits, which is an integral part of having the energy to be able to exercise regularly. She’s also very helpful and easy to contact if something comes up that you feel you need guidance with.
At the end of the month when I finished my 8 sessions, I was pleasantly surprised at my gown fitting! I was amazed at how much my body had changed just in the short month that I had spent with Cody. Not only did I get very quick results, but I was also given the knowledge and confidence to be able to facilitate my weight loss journey on my own once my sessions were over. HomeFit gave me the tools I needed to put me on the right path to being the healthy, happy person I strive to be. I’m very grateful for this experience and nothing in my time with them made me feel like I couldn’t tell you that working with them would be the best thing you could do for yourself. Thanks, HomeFit!
