I am originally from the small town of Hamilton, AL. I left at the age of 18 headed west!! I got certified in the travel business and made it my career for the next 14 years. Although I ended my travel career, I married and travelled across the pond to resettle in Germany for a number of years, learning to balance life with kids in a foreign country.
My love for fitness truly began after my fourth pregnancy (and fifth child;last turn was twins). Unlike my prior pregnancies, the baby weight did not "just" fall off. After 3 years I realized only one person was going to fix this; me!! So, at age 43 I found the gym. It was love at first sight. I managed to lose the weight and start seeing a strong me that I liked. And one that could keep up with 5 kids and all that life might throw.
After moving back to Alabama, I realized I truly loved fitness and wanted to share this passionwith other people and help them on their "be stronger" journey. I went to work for a local YMCA and started learning the ropes, eventually getting my certification.
I have had the privilege of working with people from all age groups and from many different stages of "needs". The bride to be, a knee replacement, the freshman getting ready for high school football, the middle ager who just wants to lose that extra 10 lbs, and the new mom trying to be healthier and stronger for her family.
Personal Mission Statement
"All it takes, is all you've got!" Some days this looks very different than others. It's tough juggling the many hats we all have to wear. As a single mom of five, I remember some days that meant simply getting out of bed and making sure my kids WERE fed and at school. Other days it means "don't stop, can't stop" from 4am til midnight.
I want to motivate you to be the best you, to give it all you got. To challenge your inner "superhero". To meet you where ever you are in your fitness journey and help you make sustainable lifestyle changes that will last forever.
