Hey guys, it's me again! In case you missed it, I recently started training twice a week with Home Fit and I'm giving you a sneak peak into my nutrition, sessions, and progress. If you're like me and have never had in-home personal training before, this is a glimpse into what it's really like (the good, bad, and ugly!). Here's what happened the last two weeks, and here's my first installment, in case you missed it.
Nutrition: I've been trying to up my water intake, eat more produce, cut out the packaged junk, and choose lean meats over red. Overall, I've done pretty well. The biggest challenge I've found is consistently making healthy choices, especially when food is such a social activity. I don't feel like I'm depriving myself, but consciously choosing fruit over a brownie will ALWAYS be a challenge for me.
Workouts: Cody and I have progressively started adding more weight and resistance to our workouts. He even made me do burpees, which I am definitely not a fan of, but I ultimately powered through because I'm a champ.
I'm a big fan of having a home trainer because it holds me accountable. We train early in the morning, and I feel 110 percent more energized for my work day. Also, knowing that Cody is literally going to be knocking on my door means I can't sleep in or blow off a workout session (tempting as it might be after my third alarm snooze).
Progress: Since starting, I've lost 6.8 pounds, which I'm thrilled about! My goal is two pounds a week, and I'm just shy of that. Full transparency: I killed some McDonald's for lunch on Wednesday, so I'm not shocked that I didn't quite meet my goal.
My body feels a little stronger and I can sense progress during my sessions, which is encouraging. I also don't feel quite as terrible (read: winded, wanting to pass out) during the sessions as I did in the beginning. Stay tuned for the next two weeks!
