Ali Elliott is a Registered Dietitian and owner of Thrive Pediatric Nutrition Specialists with particular experience in the nutrition assessment and treatment of pediatric patients. Ali's postgraduate fellowship emphasized clinical work with adolescents and children through the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) training program at UAB. Ali practiced clinical nutrition at Children's of Alabama where much of her work focused on failure to thrive infants, maternal lactation support, feeding issues, weight management, and disordered eating.
Ali furthered her experience working as a Medical Liaison with the Nestlé - Gerber Maternal and Infant Nutrition Division. She received extensive training and education pertaining to nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life (from conception through the child's 2nd birthday). Nestlé/Gerber exposed her to the most current and innovative science research associated with nutrition throughout childhood beginning with infancy.
Using evidence based approaches and motivational counseling techniques, Ali provides individual nutrition therapy to infants, children, and adolescents at each developmental milestone. She has particular interest in working with children with both organic and inorganic Failure to Thrive symptoms, as well as adolescents learning to make healthy food choices.
